What to bring

Not much really

Wanderschuhe, Laufschuhe, bequeme Sandalen oder Aehnliches.

Badeanzug und auch waerme Kleidung (kann kalt werden beim Campen)
Falls Du hast Regenjacke und Rucksack – anonsten habe ich diese Sachen auch alle fuer Dich.

Ansonsten nur das Uebliche. Nichts fancy, kleidungsmaessig ist es bei uns in Boulder sehr locker.

Reiseversicherung – die Mama hat sich sicher da schon erkundigt.

Bitte lasse uns wissen was Du gerne isst und was Du ueberhaupt nicht magst.

Friday, August 12-18 and Friday, August 26-28: Have fun in Boulder and Surroundings

Zum Beispiel:

• Local Hikes (and we will bring Whiskey (…the dog….) along)
• Cooking with Tim (Pizza, Strudel and Pretzel)
• CU Boulder Museum of Natural History, Denver Museum of Nature and Science
• Hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and drive up Trail Ridge Road
• CU Boulder Museum of Natural History, Denver Museum of Nature and Science
• Climbing a Flatiron (or two!)
• Relax, shop for souvenirs
• Boulder Outdoor Cinema
• Get ambitious and hike a 14er, e.g. Mount Bierstadt (4,287 m)
• Go to a Rockies Baseball Game
• Swim or paddleboard at Boulder or Baseline Reservoir – keinerlei Erfahrung mit Paddleboard, aber looks fun!
• Spend half a day at a local High School, check out the University of Boulder campus
• Whatever is not on here, but Peggie wants to do

Fri, August 19: Drive to Jackson Hole, Wyoming (~8 hours).

Check out the Rodeo and stay overnight at the Virginian Lodge

Sat, August 20: Drive to Yellowstone National Park, stop at Grand Tetons for a hike on the way there.
Spend the night at a cabin at Canyon Lodge

Sun, August 21: We have the day at Yellowstone National Park for hiking and exploring.
Spend the night again at Canyon Lodge

Mon, August 22: Spend the morning in Yellowstone, then drive to Lander (~3-4 hours)

At 4pm we attend the Llama instruction class – wir lernen was zu tun,

wenn sie uns anspucken!
Spend the night in Lander at the Holiday Inn

Tue, August 23: Get up early and drive to Worthen Meadow Reservoir Trailhead.

The Llamas will be waiting there for us!
Start our 3-day adventure in the backcountry exploring Wind River Range.

Wed, August 24: adventure continues ... fernab von jeglicher Zivilisation....

Thur, August 25th: at 4pm we will say good-bye to our Llamas and drop them off at the trailhead.
We will get on the road and drive back to Boulder (~5 hours)
